"We just started the process to completely remodel our backyard, by putting in a pool, jacuzzi, Baja ledge, new deck and outdoor bar. We met with several vendors before making a decision, but Peter really impressed us with how knowledgeable and attentive he is. "We hired Werth Builders for a major project: removing an old in-ground spa, fire pit, and outdoor kitchen, and replacing them with a brand-new pool, spa, covered patio, and kitchen. The project was complex, involving moving a retaining wall and working on a hillside. After getting several quotes and speaking with multiple contractors, we chose Werth Builders because of the detailed rendering they provided and their proven experience with similar projects in the area. The process began with a detailed engineering plan that needed city approval. Once approved, Pete's crew handled the demolition. They did an excellent job maneuvering bobcats around the house and removing all the concrete quickly and cleanly. From there, construction moved into building the pool, retaining wall, concrete work, and plumbing. It was amazing to watch the pool take shape, especially the intricate rock work around the edges. Pete told us we'd be swimming by the 4th of July—and he delivered! We're thrilled with the final result. Pete and his crew offered great recommendations along the way on tiles, lighting, and colors, which really brought everything together. Thanks to their hard work, we now have the backyard we've always dreamed of, and we look forward to enjoying it for many years to come."

"We hired Pete for a backyard remodel several years ago, and would recommend him to anyone looking to add a pool or remodel their existing one. Pete transformed a 40 year old pool to everything we wanted, including a large fire pit, bbq island and our whole deck and lounge area. He was very punctual, timely and present throughout the whole project. When we called, he answered, and he ended up being ahead of his timeline - and worked hard to communicate with us throughout everything. At the time, we had young kids… and often we were not home. His team was very trustworthy, we felt comfortable having them on our property, and they left each day cleaning up best they could so the kids could still play in the yard throughout construction process. He even went the extra mile, and would tell us when larger equipment would be there so my kids could watch! As a few years have gone by, the whole yard has held up perfectly. The quality was there, attention to detail, and follow through on his word. He even went above and beyond and helped us design a bbq island along with pricing options with what made sense, and used his experience to guide us in a decision. I am not a write a review guy, but doing this size project was a huge decision for us .. and if we did it all over again it would be with Pete."

"I contacted Peter Werth after seeing a patio roof he built for a friend. He was prompt and the consultation was very helpful. There were two challenges that were met in making and installing the new patio roof. The first one was how to build the roof around the chimney of the house and the second one was how to preserve the grapevines planted by my late husband. Both challenges were successfully met and the roof is great. Pete also gave me some advise on how to build up the patio floor to prevent flooding when it rains and could help me with that process in the future. I recommend Werth Builders to anyone needing any of their long list of services provided."

"We recently had Peter and his team do our new pool construction. Since we have two houses on our lot we were not sure our small space could fit a pool. Many companies either didn't call us back or told us we could have a spa OR tiny, unheated lap pool but not both. We chose Peter because he was very inspiring and had a great vision for maximizing our space. He knows Long Beach very well and his relationship with the city is very evident in how fast and easy the entire process was. Alex was our foreman and he and his crew were great, always on time and very friendly. Our neighbors complimented us several times on how clean they left our house and street when they were done for the day. Our pool and spa came out stunning, we are so happy! "Project: Garage remodel to an outdoor Living Room. So, I had this vision of what I wanted to do with my backyard. Open up the walkway, take down the back wall of my (very large) garage and make it into an outdoor living room, complete with TV, kitchen, BBQ, etc. I really didn't have much of a plan beyond that. I found Peter through an advertisement mailer. I'm a physician and have limited availability to meet. He understood that and showed up the same day that I called him, bounding with energy and enthusiasm about the project. His bid came in at a very reasonable price and I decided to go with him and his company, mostly because I thought I would enjoy working with him and I liked his attitude. I am so happy that I did! He took my idea and ran with it. He pushed on some things that I didn't agree with (that turns out he was right), but also took my ideas into consideration and gave in when he knew that was important for me. In the end, I have a GORGEOUS backyard kitchen/patio/outdoor living room that is well constructed and at a very reasonable cost. I believe I got much more than my money's worth. He delivered 100% on all promises and has even checked in since completion of the project to make sure some loose ends are tied. Would highly recommend Werth Builders for your project!"

"We recently had our new pool constructed by Peter and his crew. Peter gave us the best price, he was very friendly and courteous. We had good communication with Peter throughout the entire process. His crew is very efficient and professional. The pool is awesome, well constructed and he added 3 spillway features. "My Father and I were in need of an immediate pool contractor to help us with our non-working pool. I was having a party for my 6 year old baby girl and our pool went out. Every other pool Co. that had said they would fix it either could not or would not in time for our 65 people party. Then we found Werth Builders. Mr. Werth had replied to our request within minutes and was soon out to see what can be done. As it was found out the entire electrical was shot and the pumps would no longer function. Also the old plumbing was leaking and basically not functioning properly. Mr. Werth assured us that he could perform the necessary repairs including all the plumbing, electrical, tile, plaster and new decking in time for our party. Although it was a unexpected large expense, Mr. Werth helped us out tremendously and made it very affordable. Now we have a Safe beautiful outdoor-resort that we are very proud of... "As I'm writing this review I am sitting in our new backyard resort. The journey from tired old backyard to beautiful oasis was a long but mostly positive road. Peter and his crew were always very professional. Every person that worked on our job was very skilled at their particular aspect of the job. All were polite and always cleaned up at the end of each work day. There were of course some unexpected delays along the way but they were all eventually handled to everyone's satisfaction. The end result is spectacular. We couldn't be happier with the end results. Thank you Peter, Alex and the whole crew for giving us the backyard of our dreams. "I met with 5 different contractors and only received bids from 3 of them. One bid was exceptionally low, the other exceptionally high, and Werth Builders bid was right within the ballpark of what we expecting for the project's size. We put in a 600 sq. ft. patio (permitted) with lights and ceiling fans. We also laid down pavers and put drainage and cement on our side yard that used to be covered with weeds. Peter was great to work with. He was down to earth and approachable. We told him our vision and he made it happen. We didn't see any paper plans before they set to work and we were ok with that, but it did lead to a slightly bigger patio that we had originally planned for; still looked great. Peter responded to texts promptly and was able to accommodate our schedule. His crews were polite and showed up around 7am every morning when on site. Overall, solid experience."

"We did a major overhaul of our backyard. Peter and staff were great to work with and always had out best interests in mind. His suggestions were always spot on and we couldn't be more thrilled with our backyard. Custom water features, fire pit, new plumbing, new electrical, new pool equipment, custom BBQ area, pagoda, modern code compliance, intricate stone work, and a fabulously efficient drainage system. The workmanship is superior and their prices very fair and they aim to please and accommodate. Our project was not without difficulty due to unusually heavy and frequent rains, but Peter juggled multiple projects and multiple delays due to multiple rainstorms and still met our deadlines. "My husband and I decided to built a pool in our house. We interviewed Peter and immediately knew we want him to take on this huge project. He was very friendly yet professional at the same time. We also have him redo our patio cover and stamp concrete. Originally, I wanted a different color and pattern for the pool and concrete. But Peter suggest I go with a different selection because of the design and size of my backyard. I'm so glad I did because it turned out so much better than we envision. He is always available to answer any questions and is reachable when you need him. We are so happy with his quality of work and would highly recommend him to anyone."

"We bought a new house with a big yard and started looking for pool contractors. We talked to many of them but none gave us the confidence Peter did. We had a small budget and big dreams! Peter assured us he could work within our budget to make our dream backyard a reality. From the planning to the actual work Peter and everyone in his company made us feel like family. We started our project back in November and due to the crazy rains we had a huge mud pit in the backyard.... Peter's guys came to drain the pool many times and had to get it ready for inspection (they put lots of hard work in it). I myself stayed home one day to meet up with the inspector and make sure everything was done right. To my surprise Peter was here too always checking on the work and sticking to timelines. Our project is 95% complete and we couldn't be happier! The crew always cleaned after themselves and had lots of patience with our dog. If you are looking for a pool contractor I can't recommend Werth builders enough! Once our project is done I will post pictures so you can see the amazing transformation!"
